Hi. We're Jo and Ross Reinhold, publisher and editor respectively, of QuiltingPathways.com and other internet publications.

At "Lake of the Clouds" in the Porcupine Mountains of Michigan's Upper Peninsula

Jo's passion is quilting . . . with a few other hobbies mixed in when she needs a break. Spring & summer she enjoys vegetable and flower gardening; in the fall and early winter it is getting ready for Christmas - cutting boughs in our tree plantation, making wreaths, and crafting other decorations for the season. But as Christmas looms closer, more concentrated quilting goes on as there are always quilted gift projects underway. Wintertime is prime quilting season, with snowshoeing being the major recreational respite from quilting (when there is snow). When I can tear her away from quilting and her other hobbies, she does enjoy my passion - traveling, hiking, and exploring new places. Occasionally I'll get her on a canoe trip or camping in the back country, but since we acquired our RV (Winnebago Rialta, a mini-motor home) in 2005, it has been difficult to talk her into "roughing it."

As the travel and recreation director of this duet, I seem to spend a good deal of time planning and preparing for trips . . . and then organizing and cleaning up after the trip! So during the spring through fall, it seems we are frequently coming, going or returning from somewhere! But when I am home and not exploring the out-of-doors, I do enjoy woodworking, in particular using hand tools - planes, spokeshaves, rasps, chisels, japanese saws, etc. Most of my free time, however, is spent engaged in hobbies related to our online publications: photography, digital graphics, website composition, writing, and the technical aspects of internet publishing.
